RSA Conference 2024 officially concluded last week, and it was a great time at the Moscone Center in San Francisco connecting with experts in the cybersecurity industry. We look forward to attending this conference with clients every year and this year was no different.
On Sunday, May 5, the day before RSAC officially kicked off, the Cybersecurity Marketing Society held its 2024 RSAC Party for Cyber Marketers at Novela SF with Inkhouse as a sponsor! Getting together with clients, colleagues, and industry friends prior to the conference set the mood for the busy week ahead.
Here are some trends we noticed at RSAC 2024:
- Hottest topics we heard?
- Mergers and acquisitions amid market consolidation
- The role of AI security startups in the ever-growing tech stack
- Leading cybersecurity companies looking for their next financial move or acquisitions
- Ways to get ahead of AI-generated threats
- Looming threats and concerns ahead of the upcoming election season
- Brands needed to get more creative than ever to stand out among the noise at the show. There were sponsored coffee carts, creative building takeovers, booth performers, and more (shout-out to our design team for creating these beautiful RSA window coverings on the Museum of African Diaspora for client Chainguard)
Several cybersecurity clients across our practice had news to share, both at the event and leading up to the conference:
- Venafi’s 90-day TLC certificate solution: Venafi announced an initiative to help organizations implement and manage certificates based on the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol that Google is proposing should be renewed every 90 days.
- Silverfort’s FIDO2 research: Passwordless authentication standards have improved identity security, but new research from Silverfort indicates this technology is vulnerable to token hijacks and man-in-the-middle attacks.
- Vectra AI expanded its platform to combat GenAI attacks: The leader in hybrid attack detection, investigation and response announced an expansion of its Vectra AI Platform to defend against cyber attackers abusing GenAI
- Deep Instinct launched a new GenAI assistant that provides expert-level malware analysis for unknown threat: Deep Instinct – a deep-learning powered cybersecurity company – announced DIANNA — short for Deep Instinct’s Artificial Neural Network Assistant — the industry’s first AI-based cybersecurity companion that provides explainability into unknown threats.
- AT&T Cybersecurity, now LevelBlue, announced the launch of this new standalone business on the first day of the conference and received some prominent coverage. The company followed the news up on Tuesday by announcing its 2024 LevelBlue Futures Report: Cyber Resilience.
- Ping Identity released findings from its new survey, shedding light on the state of identity fraud prevention in today’s AI-driven digital world. The report, which surveyed 700 IT decision-makers worldwide, found that 97% of organizations are experiencing challenges with identity verification.
- SecurityPal launched a brand new website focused on the future of Customer Assurance and streamlining the security review process.
- NetSPI unveiled a new proactive security platform to meet customer demand, along with a fresh look to its brand.
- Gigamon was one of the companies that signed Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Secure by Design Pledge, collectively committing to building cybersecurity into the design and manufacturing of technology products.
And that’s a wrap. Even though it was busy, we’re already looking forward to next year! In the meantime, learn more about our cybersecurity work and check out some case studies.
