Inkhouse Joins The BerlinRosen Family

May 10, 2023 Beth Monaghan

Today Inkhouse enters our next phase of growth and opportunity. We have secured a majority investment from BerlinRosen Holdings, a full-service marketing and communications firm headquartered in NY, with offices in LA, Miami, Washington, DC, Chicago, London and Amsterdam.

I am known to say that Inkhouse doesn’t grow for the sake of growth, but for the opportunities it affords our people and our clients. This is what brings us together with BerlinRosen. We sit at the cusp of the next phase of technological advancement. AI is said to be at its iPhone moment, poised to change the way we interact with the world. At the same time, the federal government is fueling investment in climate tech, and we’re seeing massive changes taking place in areas like healthcare and frontier tech (think space).

With BerlinRosen we have a broad pool of new expertise to help our clients navigate these opportunities and their challenges. We’re excited to add the following key services:

  • Technology policy expertise (local, national and international)
  • Diversity, equity and inclusion consulting through Onward
  • Public affairs
  • Expanded crisis communications & legal affairs
  • Influencer marketing
  • Social impact and ESG
  • Advertising (digital, out-of-home, print and broadcast)
  • Data targeting
  • Non-profit/advocacy campaigns
  • Video production

When I embarked on this journey more than a year ago, I knew it would be hard to find the right growth partner. I had a long list of criteria and some wise people told me my standards were probably too high. But then I met Jonathan Rosen and Valerie Berlin. Instantly, I knew this was the right partnership. They share Inkhouse’s excitement for what’s possible in public relations as well as our human values. Like us, they want to prove that doing good in the world and doing well in business are not mutually exclusive. And we share a commitment to accountability—to our work and to the world. In fact, accountability is the new awareness in public relations. It isn’t just about managing your reputation, but aligning actions and words.

Inkhouse has come a long way from my kitchen table in 2007 to a team of 140+ and now, we join the BerlinRosen network of like-minded entrepreneurs who’ve built complementary agencies that we can’t wait to learn from—Glen Echo GroupDerrisM18 and Onward. These new partners understand the growth journey from personal experience. Scrappiness has gotten us this far and I’m counting on it to take us this next distance.

Stay tuned for what we all do together next!
